The Town of Freetown was settled in 1659 and later incorporated in 1683. Freetown is located in the Bristol County area and is made up of two villages- the Assonet Village and East Freetown Village.

Freetown established one of the state's first trout hatcheries. The town’s villages are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The villages contain many old buildings and historic sites.

Come visit Freetown and visit the many historic places and homes the town has to offer.
